1.Do plans have to cover pre existing conditions?
Any plan that is offered on the Affordable Care Act (the Marketplace) must cover pre existing conditions, but plans outside the ACA do not have to cover pre existing conditions.
2.Do I still have to have health insurance or else I'll be penalized ?
No, the mandate for health insurance ended after 2018.
3.If I lose coverage from an employer, am I eligible to buy a plan?
Generally , if you lose employer sponsored health insurance coverage, you would qualify for a special election period and be able to purchase a plan on the Marketplace.
